Au Revoir

This piece came from a place of struggle, that feeling of reaching out for something just barely out of reach. I wanted the hand to feel heavy and real, like it’s dragging itself out of a sea that could swallow it at any second. Everything’s built out of tiny dots, keeping the whole thing raw and gritty, almost like it's eroding as you look at it. The sun’s there too, but it’s not exactly hopeful. It’s harsh, almost indifferent, blasting light down without offering any real help. I wanted it to sit right in that space between hope and exhaustion, where you’re not sure if you’re about to be saved or if you're just putting up a final fight. It’s stubborn, desperate, and human.
