Lotus
This piece is all about tension between growth and chaos. I built it like a living, breathing bloom, but it’s not just soft or delicate. The center’s packed tight with darker, heavier strokes, almost clawing their way outward, while the lighter green leaves flare and twist like flames or wild currents. I wanted it to feel like the whole thing is alive in a way that’s barely contained, graceful on the outside, but feral at the core. The layering of texture was important too, letting the lines catch like tangled roots or muscle fibers, so it feels organic without being obvious. It’s a burst of life, one that’s rough and unpredictable,
but full of growth.
